Autism and SEND are one of the most pressing matters of our time, at sweet victory products ltd, it is something we are passionate about and to show this we have grouped together with Stockport Autisk to raise money for this group to continue running for another year.
Some background information: Autisk are a community based projects that helps people by giving support, advice, signposting and friendship to families who have children and young people with disabilities/educational needs.
We offer a range of social groups to help prevent social isolation and promote good and physical mental well being for all members of the family.
Autisk are very much family orientated as we know families with children and young people want to attend and access activities where there is no judgement just understanding and friendship. We run on funding and donations and have a experienced staff team who run our social groups and drop ins ,
Autisk also make sure our staff have lived experience of autism and other invisible disabilities as we know how much it means to our families to chat to someone who’s ‘been there/ gets it’.
Autisk's most popular social group is our Friday evening 11-18year old group we find parents like to stay and chat to other parents while their children and young people engage in various activities and have fun this group is a lifeline to so many families and we are raising funds to help keep it running during 2023
Each session we run costs us £100 ( staff wages/rental / refreshments) in order to keep our group running in 2023 we need to raise about £4000 which will help us run 40 sessions for the year.
